Overview

The HTS/Direct Support Professional Floater at Home of Hope will provide essential support to individuals receiving services in various settings, focusing on daily living skills, personal hygiene, and vocational training. The role emphasizes promoting independence, community integration, and personal development while working cooperatively with team members and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with personal hygiene, mobility, and daily living skills.
  • Provide instruction in vocational skills and support job integration.
  • Document and maintain progress reports and vocational profiles.
  • Encourage independence and inclusion for individuals served.
  • Participate in the identification of clients' strengths and needs.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environments.
  • Provide transportation to appointments and activities as needed.
  • Report incidents that affect the well-being of individuals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information regarding clients.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • No prior experience necessary.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • Ability to lift 50-70 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Completion of First Aid/CPR Training and other mandatory trainings.
