Overview

The HTS/Direct Support Professional Floater at Home of Hope is responsible for providing support to individuals receiving services across various locations. This role involves assisting with daily living skills, personal care, community participation, and vocational skills to promote independence and inclusion.

Key responsibilities

  • Train and assist individuals in personal hygiene and daily living skills
  • Provide instruction in vocational skills and community integration
  • Document and report on individual progress and incidents
  • Work collaboratively with team members, families, and service providers
  • Transport individuals to work, therapies, and social activities
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of living environments
  • Complete required training and follow Individual Plans for each individual

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift 50-70 pounds
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and locations
  • Experience or willingness to complete first aid and CPR training
  • Understanding of individual care plans and compliance with training requirements
