Overview

The HTS/Direct Support Professional Floater at Home of Hope provides essential support to individuals receiving services, focusing on personal care, vocational training, and overall well-being. This role requires working at various locations and assisting with daily living skills, social skills, and community involvement to promote independence.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with personal hygiene, mobility, managing medications, and money management.
  • Provide training and guidance in daily living and vocational skills.
  • Document and report incidents affecting the health and welfare of individuals.
  • Provide transportation to various appointments and activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the living environments.
  • Work cooperatively with staff and families to ensure the well-being of individuals.
  • Participate in identifying individual strengths and needs for goal attainment.
  • Conduct yourself as a role model and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • No prior experience necessary
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 50-70 pounds
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to complete required training courses
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and be on-call as needed
