Job Description

Overview

The HTS/Direct Support Professional Floater at Home of Hope is responsible for providing support to individuals receiving services across various locations. This role involves assisting with daily living skills, personal hygiene, social interaction, and vocational training to help clients achieve independence and integration into their communities.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with personal hygiene, clothing care, transportation, and meal planning
  • Train and coordinate vocational skills for individuals
  • Document and report incidents, medical issues, or behavioral incidents
  • Promote self-esteem and wellbeing of individuals served
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned environments
  • Work cooperatively with staff, families, and professionals
  • Provide transportation to appointments and activities as needed
  • Flexibly work at multiple locations and shifts

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
  • Ability to lift 50-70 pounds and perform physical tasks
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Teamwork and crisis management skills
  • Knowledge of behavioral support techniques
