Overview

The HTS/Direct Support Professional at Home of Hope is responsible for providing training and assistance to individuals with diverse support needs, focusing on various daily living skills and vocational training. This role offers flexible schedules and opportunities for career growth while emphasizing a client-centered approach.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with daily living skills, personal hygiene, and community participation
  • Provide vocational training and support to integrate individuals into job environments
  • Document incidents and report any health, welfare, or rights violations
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of assigned environments
  • Coordinate transportation to various appointments and activities
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and professionals
  • Promote self-esteem and encourage independence for clients

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • First Aid/CPR Training
  • Valid OK driver's license and dependable transportation
  • Ability to lift 50-70 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules based on client needs
