Job Description

Overview

On Grid Infrastructure Services is looking for an experienced HRSG Commissioning Advisor for a project in Cumberland City, TN, starting on July 6, 2026, and lasting approximately 5-6 months. The role involves overseeing commissioning works in compliance with safety, quality, and budget requirements, while managing various technical aspects of HRSG systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Review and validate HRSG commissioning procedures and test plans
  • Ensure installation of HRSG systems according to design specifications
  • Verify mechanical completion and readiness for commissioning
  • Coordinate pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities
  • Supervise flushing, cleaning, and blowdown activities
  • Monitor hydrostatic testing and pressure testing
  • Verify installation and calibration of HRSG instrumentation
  • Coordinate with construction and engineering teams during commissioning
  • Lead system walk-downs and resolve punch list items
  • Approve commissioning documentation and test records
  • Support chemical cleaning activities
  • Oversee steam blowing activities
  • Monitor initial operation activities like first fire and synchronization
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements during commissioning
  • Troubleshoot commissioning issues and suggest solutions
  • Assist in performance testing and prepare commissioning reports

Required skills

  • Knowledge in Commissioning HRSGs
  • Technical knowledge of Gas Power Plants
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Project management skills
