Overview

The HR Specialist at Harbor Community Clinic is responsible for supporting daily human resources operations with a focus on full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and managing personnel records. The role involves ensuring compliance with HR regulations and providing administrative support across various HR functions while adhering to the clinic's mission and values.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage full-cycle recruitment processes
  • Partner with hiring managers for efficient hiring processes
  • Prepare and issue offer letters, conduct reference checks
  • Manage onboarding processes, ensuring completion of pre-employment requirements
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready personnel files
  • Conduct audits of employee records for compliance
  • Process employee lifecycle transactions
  • Support benefits administration and handle employee inquiries
  • Assist with leave of absence administration
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment processes
  • Recent experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar platform
  • Knowledge of employee record maintenance and compliance regulations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in a community clinic or FQHC preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
