Overview

The HR Manager at CFS in South Bend, Indiana is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role supports business operations through various HR functions, acting as a strategic partner to leadership and fostering a compliant and positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and orientation processes
  • Partner with department managers to identify staffing needs
  • Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies for hourly and salaried positions
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Investigate and resolve employee concerns and workplace issues
  • Coordinate annual performance reviews and goal-setting processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Administer employee benefits programs and answer employee questions
  • Coordinate employee training programs and leadership development initiatives

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred

What the company offers

  • Salary range of $80,000-$95,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
