Job Description

Overview

As an HR Generalist at Capital Waste Services, you will play a crucial role in managing human resources operations with a focus on DOT compliance and driver qualification management. The position involves ensuring a smooth onboarding proces for safety-sensitive roles, while also supporting benefits administration and HRIS management.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and audit Driver Qualification (DQ) files in accordance with FMCSA and DOT regulations
  • Track and manage driver credentials, including CDL status and medical cards
  • Coordinate DOT drug & alcohol testing and support compliance with safety policies
  • Ensure completion of onboarding documentation for DOT-regulated and non-DOT employees
  • Maintain employee records in Paylocity and ensure data integrity
  • Collaborate with Operations and Safety teams to resolve HR and compliance matters

Required skills

  • 2 years of HR experience with DOT compliance
  • Experience maintaining Driver Qualification (DQ) files
  • Knowledge of DOT/FMCAS regulations related to drivers
  • Experience supporting benefits administration
  • Proficiency with HRIS, preferably Paylocity
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment
