Overview

Horizon Develop Build Manage is seeking an HR Generalist to enhance their property management team in Madison, Wisconsin. The role involves leading recruiting efforts, administering benefits and payroll using HRIS, and providing coaching and employee support to ensure smooth HR operations in a collaborative work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for property management and corporate roles
  • Run targeted recruiting campaigns and build candidate pipelines
  • Administer bi-weekly payroll and maintain employee records in Paylocity
  • Lead company-wide benefits programs and coordinate annual open enrollment
  • Provide employee relations guidance and support performance management processes
  • Coordinate training and onboarding activities
  • Draft and update HR policies and procedures
  • Maintain compliance with HR regulations and assist with safety program administration

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible HR experience
  • 2+ years of recruiting/talent acquisition experience
  • Experience in benefits administration and HR compliance activities preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems, particularly Paylocity
  • Strong judgment and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Highly organized with administrative and multi-tasking skills
  • Technology savvy with a curious mind
  • Valid driver's license and insurance
