Overview

Capital Waste Services LLC is seeking an HR Generalist to support Human Resources operations with a focus on DOT compliance and driver qualification management. This role will handle employee onboarding, training coordination, and benefits administration within a safety-sensitive working environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and audit Driver Qualification (DQ) files according to FMCSA and DOT regulations
  • Track and manage driver credentials, including CDL status and medical cards
  • Coordinate DOT drug & alcohol testing
  • Support compliance with safety policies and assist with audits
  • Coordinate onboarding for DOT-regulated and non-DOT employees
  • Assist with group benefits administration and serve as a contact for employee benefits questions
  • Utilize HRIS (Paylocity) for employee records and HR administration
  • Collaborate with Operations, Safety, and Management teams on HR and compliance matters

Required skills

  • 2+ years of HR experience with DOT compliance exposure
  • Hands-on experience with Driver Qualification (DQ) files
  • Knowledge of DOT/FMSCA regulations
  • Experience in benefits administration
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, preferably Paylocity
  • Strong attention to detail and collaboration skills
