Job Description

Overview

The HR Compensation Analyst at Midland States Bank will support the design, analysis, and administration of compensation, equity, and deferred compensation programs. This role is key to ensuring competitive and equitable pay practices that align with the bank's business objectives and contributes to the evolution of Total Rewards.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct market pricing using survey data and internal benchmarking
  • Support job evaluations and maintain job architecture
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of salary structures and pay ranges
  • Support end-to-end annual compensation cycles including data preparation and analysis
  • Review and analyze compensation data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Administer equity programs and track grants and vesting schedules
  • Assist with non-qualified deferred compensation plans and eligibility tracking
  • Coordinate with Finance, Legal, and external vendors on compensation processes
  • Support compliance activities including audits and documentation
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders on compensation initiatives

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field
  • Experience with Workday preferred
  • Strong data analysis and synthesis skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of compensation and benefits policies and processes
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and reach amicable solutions
  • Strong organization and time management skills
