Overview

The HPA Coach position at High Performance Academy (HPA) is crucial for delivering high-quality programs, camps, and leagues aimed at the holistic development of youth. Coaches will engage participants in safe, meaningful activities, fostering personal and athletic growth while embodying HPA's core values.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise program participants, prioritizing safety and development
  • Engage participants with positive energy in sports and physical activities
  • Plan and facilitate activities, drills, and scrimmages
  • Assist with equipment setup and maintain an organized environment
  • Attend job-related trainings and contribute ideas for program evolution
  • Provide feedback to improve the student and team experience

Required skills

  • Passion for working with youth
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with children or youth leadership
  • Physical ability to participate in sports activities and lift equipment (up to 50 lbs)
  • Ability to pass a background check and TB Risk Assessment
  • 48 College Units or willingness to complete the TABE exam
  • Reliable transportation
