Overview

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking married couples to work as Full-time Flex Houseparents in Hershey, PA. Houseparents will reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, and support to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, fostering their academic and personal development.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students
  • Manage household routines and student schedules
  • Administer medications and ensure student wellness
  • Drive students to activities and engage in recreational activities
  • Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel
  • Oversee budgeting and household reporting

Required skills

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and certification to drive student home vans
  • Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
  • Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
  • Comfort leading students in daily devotions
