Overview

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in Hershey, PA. These houseparents will provide care, guidance, and support to groups of students in a structured environment that encourages their academic and emotional development.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students
  • Manage household routines and student schedules
  • Administer medications and ensure student wellness
  • Drive students to activities and plan developmental and recreational activities
  • Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel
  • Oversee budgeting and household reporting
  • Support various student homes with a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off

Required skills

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth
  • Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
  • Both spouses must be age 27 or older
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to drive student home vans
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Integrity and professionalism in serving as role models
