Overview

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in Hershey, PA. This role involves living on campus and providing care, guidance, and structured support to a group of disadvantaged students, fostering their academic, emotional, and social development.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students
  • Manage household routines and student schedules
  • Administer medications and ensure student wellness
  • Drive students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational activities
  • Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel
  • Oversee budgeting and household reporting

Required skills

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and certification to drive student home vans
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Integrity and professionalism

  • Salary: $44,768.00 per person
  • Approximately $168,000 total compensation per couple, including free housing and meals while on duty
