Overview

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking married couples to fill the role of Full-time Flex Houseparents in Hershey, PA. This unique position involves residing in on-campus student homes and providing care, guidance, and support to a small group of students, fostering their academic, emotional, and social development.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students
  • Manage household routines and student schedules
  • Administer medications and ensure student wellness
  • Drive students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational activities
  • Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel
  • Oversee budgeting and household reporting

Required skills

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Household management and behavioral support experience
  • Crisis intervention skills
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
