Overview

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. This unique role involves residing in on-campus student homes and providing care, guidance, and support for a small group of students, fostering their academic, emotional, and social growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students
  • Manage household routines and student schedules
  • Administer medications and ensure student wellness
  • Drive students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational activities
  • Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel
  • Oversee budgeting and household reporting

Required skills

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and crisis intervention knowledge
  • Household management and organizational skills
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to drive student home vans
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or GED
