Overview

The Host/Hostess position at SSP is a key role in providing excellent customer service as the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant. This position involves greeting guests, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a busy dining environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet all guests in a courteous and professional manner
  • Escort guests to their table and maintain organization of seating
  • Assist guests with children and special needs
  • Present menus and answer questions about food and service
  • Inform servers and management of any special needs or potential issues
  • Clear and reset counters or tables after each course
  • Thank guests for their patronage

Required skills

  • Minimum 6 months' experience in retail or food service
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English
  • Problem-solving skills related to customer service
