Job Description

Overview

Bourbon & Bones Lounge is looking for a professional Host to serve as the first point of contact for guests. The Host will create a welcoming atmosphere, manage reservations, and ensure efficient seating, all while maintaining a high standard of customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and escort them to their table
  • Manage reservations and ensure tables are available at desired times
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to guest inquiries
  • Maintain an accurate waitlist and communicate wait times to guests
  • Assist servers and bussers in managing table turnover
  • Monitor dining room comfort and guest needs
  • Provide accurate menu information to guests
  • Follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • Process payments and provide accurate change
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills
  • Well-organized with ability to take and place orders accurately
  • Extensive knowledge of menu offerings and recommendations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Valid Food Handlers Certification
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale systems like Aloha and Open Table
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a host/hostess preferred
