Overview

The Hospitality Management Internship - Food and Beverage at Six Flags Great Adventure offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the food and beverage sector of the hospitality industry. Interns will learn essential skills for managing both front and back of house operations while delivering exceptional meals that contribute to memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Sell food and beverages at outdoor carts and indoor restaurants.
  • Take and fill orders and multitask effectively.
  • Prepare and assemble food items using industrial cooking equipment.
  • Handle and serve food products safely, including managing allergens.
  • Process orders correctly through the Point of Sale system.
  • Dispense and sell alcoholic beverages.
  • Set up and stock tables, outdoor carts, and restaurant areas.
  • Use cleaning chemicals appropriately.
  • Work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Ensure readiness for daily operations including opening and closing duties.
  • Report on maintenance needs for kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain adequate stock and monitor venue inventory.
  • Manage food, beverage, and non-labor costs.
