Overview

Vituity is seeking a Hospitalist Physician Assistant to join their team in Midlothian, Virginia. As an Advanced Provider, you will play a critical role in improving lives within Hospital Medicine by serving as the primary contact for nursing staff during overnight shifts and providing essential support in inpatient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for nursing staff for adult inpatient needs during the overnight shift
  • Respond to urgent clinical situations, including bedside assessments
  • Assist with overnight admissions, typically involving 0-1 per night
  • Provide cross-coverage for approximately 100-130 adult inpatients
  • Collaborate with in-house Physician backup
  • No ICU responsibilities

Required skills

  • Current national certification
  • DEA and ACLS preferred
  • Previous hospitalist/inpatient experience preferred
  • Current VA state license is a plus
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM
