Overview

Adfinitas Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician to join their well-established Hospital Medicine service at University of Maryland at Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland. This full-time position offers a flexible block schedule and involves providing comprehensive inpatient internal medicine care including admitting patients, conducting exams, and planning discharges.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient internal medicine care within the hospital setting
  • Admit patients and perform physical exams
  • Order tests and make diagnoses
  • Conduct hospital rounds and plan for patient discharge
  • Follow established policies for maintenance and signing of medical records
  • Contribute to department goals and adhere to quality and safety standards
  • Submit accurate and timely charges for professional services

Required skills

  • BE/BC in Internal Medicine
  • Active Maryland medical license
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • DEA and CDS license
  • Strong inpatient skill set
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
