Overview

CHOC Children's Specialists in Southern California is seeking a Newborn Hospitalist to provide quality care to newborns primarily at Hoag Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital. The role involves daytime clinical hours with no call requirements and opportunities in quality improvement and administrative activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide quality care to newborns
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Engage in safety measures and administrative activities
  • Teach and contribute to enhancing the quality of care for children
  • Perform shared weekend rounding

Required skills

  • MD/DO degree
  • Eligibility for a California medical license
  • BC/BE in Pediatrics
  • Experience in inpatient pediatric care preferred
  • Interest in neonatal hospital medicine
