Overview

Vitas Healthcare is seeking a Hospice Director of Patient Care Services (RN) in Encino, California, to join its senior leadership team. This role involves managing the clinical, financial, and operational aspects of hospice care, while supporting and coaching an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth operation of hospice services in terms of clinical, financial, and operational aspects.
  • Support and coach team members including nurses, social workers, and chaplains.
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives to elevate patient care.
  • Blend leadership skills with clinical expertise to manage teams effectively.
  • Maintain a focus on patient welfare and deliver quality care.

Required skills

  • Current Registered Nurse License in California
  • At least four years of healthcare management experience
  • Two years of home health and hospice experience
  • Hands-on fiscal and budgetary experience
  • Experience managing a team of leaders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field preferred
