Overview

The Hospice Director of Patient Care Services at Vitas Healthcare is a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of clinical, financial, and operational aspects of hospice care. This role requires a blend of leadership and clinical expertise to manage and support the interdisciplinary team while enhancing the patient experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical, financial, and operational aspects of hospice services
  • Support and coach interdisciplinary team members including nurses and social workers
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives
  • Ensure quality and continuity of care for patients

Required skills

  • Current Registered Nurse License in the state of California
  • Two years of home health and hospice experience
  • Four years of healthcare management experience
  • Hands-on fiscal and budgetary experience
  • Experience managing a team of leaders
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
