Overview

The Hospice Director of Admissions at Vitas Healthcare in Fairview Heights, IL, leads the Admissions Department, focusing on strategy, customer service, operations, and workforce management. Key responsibilities

  • Lead development of admissions staff through coaching and mentoring

  • Oversee training, staffing, and retention initiatives within the admissions team

Required skills

  • 5+ years nursing experience
  • 3+ years in a leadership/management role
  • Hospice admissions experience preferred
  • Proficient in technology including Excel, MS Teams, OneNote, SharePoint, and PowerBI
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and analyze large data sets
  • Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program and state licensure required
