Overview

Vitas Healthcare is seeking a Hospice Care Administrator to join their senior leadership team in Houston, Texas. This role will oversee the clinical, financial, and operational aspects of hospice care, supporting a diverse interdisciplinary team and focusing on enhancing the patient experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth operation of clinical, financial, and operational aspects of hospice care
  • Support and coach interdisciplinary team members including nurses and social workers
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
  • Maintain quality and continuity of care for patients
  • Provide leadership while keeping patient welfare at the center of operations

Required skills

  • Current Registered Nurse License
  • Minimum four years of healthcare management experience
  • Two years of home health and hospice experience
  • Fiscal and budget management expertise
  • Experience managing a team of leaders
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
