Job Description

Overview

Green Transportation is seeking experienced CDL-A Solo Drivers for their growing transportation network based in Holland, MI. This role focuses on providing reliable freight and consistent home time for drivers who prioritize safety and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle
  • Transport LTL and truckload freight on scheduled routes
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Follow FMCSA and DOT regulations
  • Communicate consistently with dispatch regarding load updates and trip status
  • Coordinate pickup and delivery procedures with customers and shipping partners
  • Maintain bills of lading, proof of delivery paperwork, fuel receipts, and trip documentation
  • Monitor road and weather conditions and communicate delays or concerns

Required skills

  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable CDL-A tractor-trailer experience
  • Strong safety mindset and knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations
  • Ability to communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • U.S. work authorization
