Job Description

Overview

Lilly is seeking a High Voltage Electrician - Instrument Technician for their advanced manufacturing facility in Clarks Hill, Indiana. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing equipment in utilities essential for production operations, contributing to the startup of a greenfield site dedicated to producing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API). The successful candidate will perform maintenance on electrical systems and instrumentation to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on 4160 and 480 Voltage Electrical Equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose Electrical Equipment problems to minimize downtime.
  • Modify and install Electrical Equipment, including motor control centers and switch gear.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Process Instrumentation systems.
  • Demonstrate ability to read P & ID drawings and schematics.
  • Document work following Good Documentation Practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules and cGMP regulations.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with 480 Volt switch gear.
  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Basic electrical skills and ability to troubleshoot circuits and equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with instrumentation.
  • Experience maintaining circuit breakers and Medium Voltage Switchgear.
  • Familiarity with a CMMS (e.g., GMARS) for work order tracking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel).
