Overview

Aya Locums is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner to work full time in San Francisco, CA, starting in March for a 25-week contract. The role involves independent management of oncology patients in an outpatient setting, requiring a collaborative approach with staff and an ability to handle high-acuity cases.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage adverse reactions, transfers, and direct admissions with the ED
  • Conduct independent visits and patient care management for specific disease groups in oncology
  • Work with a consultative model alongside APPs and RNs

Required skills

  • Master's degree in physician assistant studies
  • Current CA nursing license
  • CA DEA Schedule 2 certification
  • 2-3 years of experience in oncology, including some inpatient or high-acuity experience
  • Experience with EMR systems, specifically Epic
  • Preferred certifications: OCN or AOCNP
  • Infusion therapy experience is preferred
