Job Description

Overview

ATC West Healthcare Services is looking for an Outpatient Locum Hematology/Oncology physician to start in March 2026. This position focuses on providing outpatient oncology and hematology care, including infusion coverage at multiple campuses, primarily treating adult and geriatric patients in a high-volume setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient hematology (50%) and oncology (50%) care
  • Deliver infusion coverage at designated campuses
  • Manage adult and geriatric patient populations
  • Perform bone marrow biopsy and management of VAD/CV catheters
  • Participate in tumor board meetings
  • Manage bone marrow transplant patients
  • Order diagnostic tests and imaging
  • Prescribe medications and oversee blood bank utilization
  • Administer chemotherapy in collaboration with physician and nurse oncologist team
  • Utilize EPIC for documentation

Required skills

  • AMBS/AOA board certification in one specialty with competency in the other
  • Active Indiana State License or IMLC with Letter of Qualification
  • BLS Certification
  • Experience in outpatient hematology/oncology care and chemotherapy administration
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
