Overview

Ascend Medical Staffing is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for a locum position in Petaluma, California. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient coverage with flexible scheduling options available. The position requires a California medical license and offers competitive compensation.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide both inpatient and outpatient care for patients with hematology and oncology conditions
  • Work in a medical group clinic affiliated with a hospital
  • Manage an average of 18 patients per day, including follow-up and new consults
  • Obtain privileges for Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital as needed
  • Coordinate with onsite radiation oncologist and clinic resources
  • Maintain current medical credentials and complete necessary applications

Required skills

  • California medical license
  • BLS certification
  • Experience in hematology and oncology
  • Ability to work in a clinic setting and manage a small service line
  • Familiarity with EMR, specifically Epic
  • Board Certified (preferred) or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
