Overview

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an experienced Classical Hematologist to join their Division of Hematology/Oncology in Worcester, Massachusetts. This role involves providing specialized care for benign and malignant hematologic disorders, engaging in clinical research, and contributing to academic teaching within a respected academic medical center.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide specialized care in benign and malignant hematologic disorders
  • Participate in clinical investigation and quality improvement
  • Engage in academic teaching and fellowship education
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hematology, oncology, and other specialties
  • Deliver care at multiple sites, including regional cancer centers

Required skills

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology Oncology
  • MD or DO degree and eligibility for medical licensure in Massachusetts
  • Clinical expertise in classical hematology
  • Strong commitment to patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Interest in clinical investigation, teaching, hemostasis/thrombosis, and/or sickle cell disease
