Overview

The Help Desk Technician role at Capitol Recruiters Inc. is a fully remote position within the IT department of a prominent global law firm. This position requires at least one year of relevant experience in a large law firm, focusing on providing high-quality technical assistance to end users regarding computer systems, hardware, software, and remote access.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance/support for inquiries related to computer systems, hardware, software, and remote access
  • Respond to support requests over the phone or via email in a professional manner
  • Document support requests using Help Desk ticketing system
  • Facilitate issue handling/escalation with cross-functional support staff
  • Monitor help desk issues and evaluate potential issues as part of ITIL/ITSM
  • Follow up with customers and provide feedback until issues are resolved
  • Write tips, FAQs, and knowledge articles for the knowledge base
  • Stay updated on firm technology and systems through self-guided learning
  • Conduct independent research to solve complex technical problems
