Overview

J-U-B Engineers, Inc. is seeking a collaborative Help Desk Lead (IT Support Specialist IV) to enhance their IT support operations in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role focuses on building a high-performing support team while implementing proactive problem-solving and mentoring. The Technical Lead will bridge the gap between frontline support and IT leadership, ensuring efficient technical support for complex issues, particularly in CAD and BIM applications.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the Technical Lead for the frontline support team
  • Resolve complex endpoint configurations, hardware diagnostics, and software conflicts
  • Ensure the ticketing system remains organized and responsive
  • Identify and automate manual, repetitive workflows
  • Supervise and coach IT Interns and technicians
  • Implement a Shift-Left strategy for technical issue resolution
  • Mentor technicians in standardized documentation development
  • Track success using internal performance metrics

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant Information Technology field
  • At least eight years of progressive IT experience
  • COMPTIA A+ and COMPTIA Network+ certifications
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) preferred
  • Technical troubleshooting and help desk management
  • Process improvement and team leadership skills
