Overview

Air Methods is seeking exceptional Helicopter Pilots to join their team in Waco, Texas, where they provide air medical transport services 24/7. The role requires ensuring the aircraft is airworthy while adhering to safety and regulatory compliance, all within a supportive culture aimed at delivering excellent medical transport services.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate Air Methods aircraft safely and legally
  • Complete pre-flight checks to verify aircraft airworthiness
  • Ensure safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment
  • Familiarize with aircraft and medical systems for backup aircraft
  • Complete required documentation and conduct flight planning
  • Participate in meetings and community outreach activities
  • Follow regular attendance policies for scheduled shifts

Required skills

  • Commercial & Instrument Rating for category and class of aircraft
  • ATP rating in category
  • First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate
  • 2,000 total flight hours with at least 1,500 in category
  • 1,000 hours PIC in category
  • 500 hours rotor wing turbine time
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain a professional working environment
