Overview

Air Methods is seeking a Rotor Wing Pilot for their Texas Airlife operations in Lockhart, Texas. The company is dedicated to providing air medical transport services 24/7 and offers a supportive work environment focused on safety and work-life balance. Key responsibilities

  • Operate Air Methods aircraft safely and legally.
  • Verify aircraft and weather conditions for airworthiness before flights.
  • Complete pre-flight checks and ensure proper documentation.
  • Conduct detailed flight planning with minimal notice.
  • Participate in meetings, projects, and community outreach activities.
  • Ensure familiarity with medical systems and assist the flight team.
  • Fulfill other assigned duties as required.

Required skills

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2000 total flight hours with a minimum of 1500 hours in category.
  • 1000 hours PIC in category; 500 hours rotor wing turbine time.
  • 200 hours cross-country flight time, at least 50 hours at night.
  • Commercial & Instrument Rating for category and class of aircraft.
  • First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate required.
