Overview

Bobcat of the Peace, a division of Rentco Equipment Ltd. located in Grande Prairie, is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Technician (2nd-4th year apprentice or Journeyman) to join their service team. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing heavy equipment, and maintaining a working knowledge of evolving technologies and repair techniques.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and complete diagnostic repairs on heavy equipment
  • Install new and additional equipment
  • Perform cleaning, lubrication, and other maintenance work
  • Order replacement equipment, parts, and supplies
  • Travel to customer locations to diagnose, service, and repair equipment

Required skills

  • Journeyman/Journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician or registered 2nd-4th year HET apprentice
  • Experience as a Journeyman/Journeyperson Automotive Technician with heavy equipment experience
  • Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract
  • Experience working on bobcats, loaders, generators, and man-lifts
  • Knowledge of power, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in various weather conditions
