Overview

Capital Waste Services LLC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to manage the safe operation of heavy machinery at recycling centers, landfills, or transfer stations. This role emphasizes efficient handling of waste or soil while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining equipment integrity.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment
  • Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, and front-end loaders
  • Monitor waste for unacceptable materials
  • Ensure equipment is operationally ready at all times
  • Document minor service on equipment and report repairs to supervisor
  • Follow safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment
  • Complete necessary reports and perform other job-related duties as assigned
