Overview

The H&K Group is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for their Birdsboro Quarry. This role involves operating heavy equipment to meet daily production goals while maintaining safety and efficiency in the workplace.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, and loaders
  • Adhere to OSHA and H&K safety policies
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and notify foreman of repair needs
  • Ensure equipment is cleaned and safely stored
  • Complete daily equipment checks for proper operating condition
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school or six months related experience
  • Ability to pass practical skills test for heavy equipment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Physical ability to meet job-related demands including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Experience in heavy civil construction or relevant safety certifications preferred
