Overview

The H&K Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Equipment Operator for its Harrisburg Division in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. This role involves operating heavy equipment to meet daily production goals while adhering to safety protocols and maintenance requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment efficiently to achieve production goals
  • Adhere to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Control operation, function, and movement of machines
  • Perform daily checks and maintenance on equipment
  • Clean and store equipment as scheduled
  • Notify shop foreman of any maintenance or repair needs
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed

Required skills

  • One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school or six months of related experience
  • Ability to pass practical skills test for heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, and loaders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to meet physical requirements relevant to the job
  • Understanding of safety protocols
