Overview

EquipmentShare is seeking a Heavy Equipment CDL Driver to join their team in Petersburg, Michigan. This role is pivotal in delivering equipment safely and efficiently while supporting the company's mission to innovate the construction industry. The position operates under a Monday to Friday schedule with opportunities for overtime and on-call work.

Key responsibilities

  • Transport loads safely and timely over required routes, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Assist with loading and unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment.
  • Maintain signed invoices and required paperwork, delivering documentation post-delivery.
  • Facilitate routine service on trucks and report maintenance issues.
  • Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimal loading patterns.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required skills

  • CDL A License or chauffeur's license appropriate for vehicle weight.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain focused in busy environments.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and load management.
