Overview

EquipmentShare is seeking a Heavy Equipment CDL A Driver to join their team in Luna Pier, Michigan. The role involves transporting heavy equipment safely and efficiently, while also providing exceptional customer service and adhering to safety regulations. This position offers the opportunity to grow within a company focused on transforming the construction industry through innovative technology and support.

Key responsibilities

  • Operates vehicle according to state and federal transportation laws
  • Transports loads safely and timely, obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas
  • Assists with loading and unloading goods and materials
  • Maintains signed invoices and required paperwork
  • Facilitates routine service on trucks and reports maintenance malfunctions
  • Arranges trailers for optimum loading patterns
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Commercial driver's license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur's license
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to remain focused in a busy environment
  • Experience with fleet management and transportation logistics
  • Knowledge of safety compliance
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Clean shaven for customer requirements (if necessary)
