Overview

The Heavy Duty Trailer Technician at NW Fleet Truck Trailer Repair Inc. is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trailing equipment. This role involves performing preventive maintenance services and DOT inspections, as well as addressing various mechanical components such as air brakes, electrical systems, and body repairs.

Key responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain parts and components of heavy-duty trailer equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance services and DOT inspections
  • Diagnose and repair air brake systems, ABS, suspension, and electrical systems
  • Carry out welding and fabrication on various materials
  • Complete body repairs on semi-trailers
  • Repair and replace roll-up and swing doors
  • Document repairs and maintenance using maintenance software
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas
  • Operate Company vehicles and a forklift as needed
