Overview

Central Washington Asphalt, Inc. is seeking full-time Heavy Duty Truck and Equipment Mechanics for their Moses Lake location. The role involves maintaining and repairing company vehicles and heavy duty equipment to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle and equipment maintenance including repairs and preventive maintenance
  • Conduct safety inspections of equipment and prepare necessary safety documentation
  • Coordinate and prioritize tasks based on work schedules and equipment status
  • Diagnose vehicle and equipment issues and take corrective actions
  • Evaluate and inspect equipment before release to ensure all issues are resolved
  • Complete work orders and maintenance logs accurately and communicate issues to supervisors
  • Maintain a safe work environment by keeping work areas clean and equipment in good condition
  • Participate in safety and educational training as required

Required skills

  • Thorough understanding of diesel/gas engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to remove, repair, reinstall, and adjust equipment components
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must provide own hand tools
