Overview

Tidewater Utility Construction is seeking a dedicated Heavy Civil Construction Mechanic to join their team in Suffolk, Virginia. This role is critical for supporting construction projects by ensuring equipment remains operational through skilled repairs and maintenance of heavy machinery.

Key responsibilities

  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs on heavy machinery such as excavators and loaders
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and adjustments on company fleet trucks and other equipment
  • Utilize OEM software, tools, and technologies for diagnostics and repairs
  • Maintain communication with management regarding job status and updates
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently while meeting deadlines
