Overview

U.S. Tsubaki Power Transmission, LLC is looking for a Heat Treat/Induction Hardening Setup/Operator for the 3rd shift in Sandusky, Ohio. The role involves setting up and operating induction hardening equipment, ensuring product quality through various heat treating processes, and collaborating with furnace operators to achieve optimal results.

Key responsibilities

  • Sets up and operates induction hardening equipment
  • Applies knowledge of heat treating processes and equipment maintenance
  • Assists furnace operators with temperatures and processing of special materials
  • Ensures part conformance to quality and drawing specifications using measurement instruments
  • Performs running maintenance and cleaning operations for equipment
  • Handles loading and unloading of furnaces carefully
  • Records work output results
  • Communicates effectively and works safely in a team environment

Required skills

  • Knowledge of heat treating and induction hardening
  • Experience with quality control and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to operate related equipment efficiently
  • Familiarity with tools such as micrometers and hardness testing machines
  • Maintenance skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Physical ability to perform tasks typical in a manufacturing plant
