Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Healthcare Dining Manager to lead food service and catering operations at Penn State Health's Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. This role requires a strong background in food service management, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring exceptional service experiences in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily catering operations within the food service department
  • Serve as the primary face of the catering program to executive-level and high-profile clientele
  • Ensure seamless communication between culinary production teams and front-of-house service staff
  • Manage event execution to ensure timely setup and service that exceeds client expectations
  • Support staffing, scheduling, and operational planning for high-volume catering functions
  • Maintain compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and Sodexo policies
  • Assist with additional food service responsibilities and operational support during slower catering periods
  • Contribute to a culture of service excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Required skills

  • Experience leading high-volume catering or food service operations
  • Strong client-facing skills and ability to build relationships with executive stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate frontline teams
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and service-recovery skills
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and operational compliance
  • Healthcare or campus dining experience preferred
