Job Description

Overview

USAA is seeking dedicated Health Solutions Specialists at the Intermediate Level to provide exceptional service and advice regarding health insurance products. The role focuses on assisting members with Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement plans, and related services, aimed at ensuring their financial security through effective communication and sales techniques.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive inquiries from members through various channels and document relevant information.
  • Assess members' needs based on life events and financial situation.
  • Make recommendations and motivate members to acquire or retain health products.
  • Educate members on how regulatory changes impact products.
  • Achieve individual referral and product acquisition goals.
  • Support company and regulatory practices and policies.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
  • Health license maintenance
  • Customer service and sales experience (1+ years)
  • Experience with Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement Plans
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Multi-tasking ability in operating systems environment
  • Experience working during the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period
  • Call Center experience (a plus)
